Taming the Dragon presented by is Rebekah Demirel R.Ac., R.P.C., L.Ac, is an in depth look at how the stress response, once activated, can become chronically stimulated, causing a drop in immune function and a rise in disease of all types. A growing trend of absenteeism from work due to emotional stress and problems in relationships are areas where stress impacts all aspects of health and well-being.
Rebekah’s skillful and sensitive facilitation creates an arena where you can explore a collection of stress management techniques, both old and new, from cutting-edge psychology to ancient Chinese medical qigong. In addition, some participants will have the opportunity to try auricular acupuncture during the training, for a first hand experience of the powerful effects of relaxing and re-setting the sympathetic nervous system.
Rebekah Demirel R.Ac., R.P.C., L.Ac. has a wide range of experience in the healing arts, including fourteen years as an ambulance paramedic and over twenty years as a paramedic trainer.
